Hi DC10MD11

I am amazed by the quality of your pictures of aircraft captured at such heights. What equipment do you use for zooming into these aircraft which I guess must be flying above 30,000 feet. I must say, Well done

WAS OUT WITH THE SCOPE ON FRIDAY WITH MIXED RESULTS AS YOU WILL SEE FROM THE PHOTOS---- ALL PHOTOS TAKEN IN RAW AND CONVERTED BACK INTO JPEG---WONT BE DOING IT AGAIN DUE TO THE TIME IT TOOK ME    .
The flight information was taken from the extreme spotting SBS-1(and its free :D :D :D ) which takes in southeast kent where i live,---it did not pick up the 3 evergreen boeing 747s which come over going east.

What is this UL607, UL608, UL 9 etc...... How do you know which UL is that, and how do you know the origin and destination of the aircraft. DC10MD11, you wrote that you took the pictures without the scope. Does that mean that you just took these close ups from your Digital Camera???

Hi
Many thanks for your e-mail---------ul607,ul608 are airways route codes which are near my home(the same for motorways/roads).you can get maps which show the routes.
when i said that i "was out with the scope"---------it means that i had been out side with the scope taking photos.
When you know the flight number which you can obtain from a SBS-1 base station which connects via a PC, you can go on to google -key in the flight number and it should give you the origin and destination.

hope this help

Taken slightly higher than a contrailing airplane, the ISS + Space Shuttle "Discovery" overhead at 354 km height.
On March 25, with fading sunlight, finally a descent view on the Shuttle, meanwhile it's detached.
