We were on final on 25L the 17th when they closed the runway.

The reasons? Quite simple: braking action report were "poor, poor, poor"... You don't want to land on this kind of slippery runway...

Don't blame so much the airport. De/anti icing equipment is very expensive, and it is not these few days of "bad" weather who can give such a so expensive material an interesting option...

Okay, in DME or GOT or OSL, yes, but definitely not in BRU or CDG...

Since UA950 is cancelled, who is performing UA951 if it is going as is mentioned now by Bru Airport and UA.be

But the LHR flight is scheduled to arrive at 15:35.

Now ua.be shows UA951 as being delayed till 14:00 due to weather. Someone at BRU having more details about this one?

Very big mess apparently!!

Snowing zone from OST until MST causes closure of OST, BRU, ANR, LGG, CRL, MST, RTM, ...

LUX seems bad, but no confirmation about closure.
Divertion possibilities for aircraft are limiting.

A/C diverting to UK for the moment!!

Best regards,

Radio in Germany reports BRU, AMS and DUS are all closed. Can anyone confirm? In FRA it started snowing 45 min ago as well. Let's see how long they can cope.

FRA airport website is showing a number of "unusual" flights to BRU (among them Tarom RO371, Continental CO060); I guess those had been diverted to FRA earlier today? Now FRA seems to have problems with snow as well, quite some delays and a good number of cancellations.

No I se some flights have departed, just one landing though.
ATIS doesn't say closed.
CRL ok, I have friends in Malaga, and they are offered seats on the FR flight to Charleroi as the flight to BRU is cancelled... I'm afraid FR hasn't a lot of free seats left anyways so I doubt they make it.

It went to FRA yesterday and should have performed BRU-EWR today at 7AM. So it means BRU had two CO flights today.

JAF6818 (OOTUA) made an unscheduled fuel stop in FAO enroute to LPA today. The plane was on the ground for something just over half an hour.
