Yesterday I went to DUS. I came back with +-900 photo's and a lot of sunburn.

Here are some pictures:

What I don't always get is :

Some HLX planes have the german D- registration,
and sometimes the Belgian OO- Registration.

Could someone please explain this?

Btw: Nice pictures like always

HL and HLX merged with TUIfly, all these planes have a D- reg I think and probably they'll all wear the TUIFly livery.
One plane, D-AHLF (ex-HLX) is now owned by Jetairfly (OO-JAT), but is still in the HLX colours: http://www.planepictures.net/netshow.php?id=634703

I think this is what confuses you.

Nice pictures Rutger.
The Germanwings is my favorite one! (nice angle!!)

Greetz,
Thanks!
This is why I like approach shots with no ground visible the most: you don't notice if the picture is not completely level

I've just added 5 more pics:

Very nice pics Rutger !

DUS is a great place for spotting. The photo-opportunities on the observation decks are very good. I went there 2 weeks ago and I'm going again this weekend. Its like a tradition to go there at least twice in summer.

Again, very nice shots !

That's also my favourite one :D We were so lucky the A330 was completely above the A320, and not with the gears behind the other one!
But the Tu-154 was also great. What a fantastic sound when it passed by!! Great Sovjet-made jet!!

Hello

Nice pictures rut_her. It seems to me you did enjoy your day :D.

Chris :

Well you certainly should, DUS is the only airport abroad I've quite recently visited.

If you want to go and see some TU-154's you're at the right airport @ DUS, but I recommand you not to wait too long, they ARE actually getting more rare.

But 3 TU-154's at DUS is still not an exception, I have to admit, you've been lucky then, but it's still possible.

In every case, the noon flight of Aeroflot should still be a TU-154, but if you really have bad luck it is already a A320/319.

Best regards: Yannick ;)
