Royal Air Maroc B747 landed 10 minutes ago on the 07L
Yups, since noon the landings are on 07L!
Sincargo and a Beauty came in on the 07L as well.

So they activated the very unusual 07L with a slight tailwind? But I have my doubts about this METAR, here in Brussels city centre I see a solid overcast... and it looks quite lower than 4600 feet tooVesalius wrote:Royal Air Maroc B747 landed 10 minutes ago on the 07L

Slight tailwind? Winds are from 110° @ 8kts... that's tailwind for the 25R indeed, but suitable for the very unusual 07L as you stated.
Indeed the METAR is not correct, regarding the overcast.
I've looked it up on http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/metar.shtml
Anyone want to share another source?

New rule since about one year: at the Belgian civil airports cloudbase above 5000 ft ain't mentioned anymore as not of significant use for aviation.

In case of several cloud types and/or layers, criteria of reporting:
- 1st group: lowest cloud regardless amount
- 2nd group: next cloud layer with minimum covarge of 3/8 octas
- 3th group: next cloud layer with minimal coverage of 5/8 octas
- 4th group: only if CB is present

About 07L. Not the first time the last days.
It was the case last monday as well. Also aroud 12.00pm. And also the sight of AT's 744 over the ring.
This is very non-standard. The SIA Cargo 744 made a very very late final right turn for VOR/DME 07L. A bit of KaiTak in BRU
What a sight !!!! This beast rules !!
