Next Wednesday, Etihad will send an A340-500 to Brussels instead of an A330-200. It will continue to Toronto. This will also be the last Etihad flight to Toronto via Brussels.

Hello
Wow, that's nice traffic. Only too bad it's on another week/working- day.
Are they actually fully stop the service to Toronto for ever? I thought that they had some extra flights AUH-BRU-AUH but I presumed they kept flying AUH-BRU-YYZ-BRU-AUH.
A little pity, another North American destination to dissapear.
Best regards: Yannick

Nice to hear EY will put the 340-500 next week on the YYZ route
I'll try to be there for some pictures of course !!
Don't worry YYZ won't dissapear for a long time as 9W will soon start the service from India via BRU.
Chris

Yes they stop the BRU-YYZ segment and keep the BRU-AUH route. They decided to stop the YYZ route as they will fly it non-stop from AUH instead.Bruspotter wrote: Are they actually fully stop the service to Toronto for ever? Please, they want to start flying directly from Toronto to Abu Dhabi using an A340-500 on the first of June. That's why they are sending the A340-500 in the first place. The A340-300 is incapable of making such a long flight in one leg...Can someone confirm that Etihad will send an A340-300 instead of an A340-500?
According to their planning the airframe used will be the A6-EHA.

Exactly, the aircraft will nightstop at YYZ and return the next morning on the first ever YYZ-AUH nonstop!Tristar1011 wrote:Please, they want to start flying directly from Toronto to Abu Dhabi using an A340-500 on the first of June. I like them allot !!! I didn't dare risk it to go to FP3, I already was almost to late and when I saw the traffic my motivation was "foetsie"
Here you have 2 shots of me :

I hope you like them.
