Who is in the kidnapping business in Thailand?

Post by SN30952 »

The police:
And the men are:
Police officer Senior Sgt-Major Suchart Muengkhunlong
Metropolitan police Sergeant Sathit Prasanphangsri
Crime Suppression Division Sergeant Prasertpan Punarittidej

Police suspect three more men:
Immigration Police Lt-Colonel Thanapol Boonnak,
Chok Chai police Sergeant Adul Kamorn
and Thai-Dutch civilian Samual, or Sam, Prasomthong.
Thai-American Nicolas Pruksukkan, Mongkol Sukkasem and Thai-American brothers John and James McCleary.
They are in custody at Lumpini Police Station.
They were arrested this week after allegedly kidnapping Mark Hutchenson, 46, at gunpoint from his Bangkok condominium on April 7. They demanded US$800,000 (Bt28 million) for his release and took $400,000 from his residence.

A SWAT team rescued Hutchenson on Thursday.

It is clear the idea was to put everything on the shoulders of Sam, John and James, but they did not have the time... The policemen pretended to work for the FBI....
A SWAT team rescued Hutchenson on Thursday. He escaped a certain death.

Note yearly still more tourists are killed by Thai policemen than tourists kill Thai people in Thailand...

Take care to who you talk in the kingdom.... This is a warning. Your papers are not safe at the Immigration Police.

Who is dealing drugs in the Buddhist kingdom, the land of smiles?
Two detectives got killed - Lance Corporal Sawai Arjnongwa, who died at the scene, and Sgt-Major Manoj Srilakhorn. Read how it happened

btw, Some >100 died in road accidents, during the Thai New Year this weekend. Some 40 died in a flash flooding.
And that's only for this week...
And we're not talking: About 200 people yesterday paraded the charred remains of a Buddhist woman through the streets of the provincial capital to protest the unending violence in the deep South. After Defence Volunteers, a para-military militia, shot dead four Muslim youths and wounded six others late Monday afternoon

yes, we all know now that Yala and Pattani are not the best places to go. But if Pattani and Yala come to Bangkok, it gets grimm.
Never, ever give your passport to a thai police man. Just say that it is in your appartment.
