New flight from Brussels to Quebec from 22 June 2007

Post by Atlantis »

A canadian holidaygroup, Maestro, is going to fly direct with a B757-200ER from Brussels to Quebec. Maestro is going to lease this Boeing of SkyService Airlines.

Now pax have to go via New york, Montreal or Paris.

There is a big potential: 21.500 Belgian pax have visited Quebec last year and 40.000 to 50.000 Canadians visited Belgium.

This is very good news.

Indeed its a B757 agian. For next year three new airlines NW, US and Maestro under SkyService Airlines colors will fly the B757-200 to Brussels Airport.

About Brussels Airlines, pffff its their problem. After the last conference I know more then enough of this airline.

Other airlines are capable to do this job, well, I say welcome to, at this moment, Jet Airways, Northwest airlines, US Airways, Maestro.

By the way, good job of the new department of Brussels Airport: Aviation development. These are the people who attract the new carriers.

Regards,
And because I use that symbol means I have no meaning about Brussels Airlines?? That's rather stupid. Everyone can say positive things about it but that don't make it better. You need, in this case Brussels Airlines, critic to realize that you have to change some things.

Its not against Brussels Airlines but against the shareholders and the management. They think money is fallen out of the sky without you have to work for.

According to the latest, the flights will be seasonal. They will offer one configuration with 215 seats.

quebec city (700.000 inhabitants)is by far too small to justify any flight to bru, even during the summer...90 pct will be originating from quebec city....montreal is so close,no need for direct flight to brussels...but from yul there is a solid market for bru...we need brusselsairlines back there, and daily at least during the summer...

My contactperson at Montreal airport confirmed to me that Maestro, OPS Skyservice Airlines, is not going to start service from Montreal to Brussels.
That would be three airlines from YUL to BRU and that's way to much. But she confirmed to me an other new service. I start a new topic about that.

Skyservice Airlines is only operating from Quebec Airport. That's the base of this airline.

In that way, Travelmagazine was correct when they say that Maestro is going to start service from Quebec to Brussels.

So I think with this new element that Quebec is a third city in Canada that can be reached from Belgium.

Hi guys !

Which means that Skyservice is not a scheduled but a charter airline operating for various Canadian Tour Operators including "Maestro".
