They say one cannot take pictures near Chania airport in Crete/Greece. It's military airport with quite a lot of charter civilian traffic. After the well known case of British spotters arrested, taking photos around Greece military airports is thrilling. Only 9 pics on airliners.net from Chania, mostly unused a/c, taken in 1998!

But I cannot resist.

And yes, you CAN take pictures in Chania without being arrested, shot or sth worse

Here it is. I wasn't particularly lucky: there were days of many F-16 and other military a/c operating, but I have no time to spot them. But on the other hand I managed to photo some nice aircraft. Enjoy. If you need some info about good (and probably safe) locations there, drop me an e-mail.
