request: take pictures of your holiday trips

Post by teddybAIR »

Hi guys,

We know that during the summer months most of us go on a holiday, preferably by airtravel. Therefore, I would like to request all of you who are taking an airplane to whatever destination to take pictures of their trip and share them here...I'm sure i speak for the whole Luchtzak community when I say that this will highly be appreciated!

Kind regards and have a nice holiday!

I suppose you mean aviation-pictures? You can count me in anyway as I'm departing tomorrow to Lanzarote.

A very good idea, mixing pics and comments about the flights to and from, the airport at destination, perhaps a local airshow, an air museum, a sightseing flight at the local aeroclub, etc... and also the visits and activities (and the beach) over there ?

Well, why not! I bet it can make the countdown to our own holidays significantly shorter

Not necessarily the ones which have been told by the airlines to lose weight, some time ago. ;-)

I like the second movie a lot, Stepha380!

I'm still not sure if we will go to CA. now (probably not, since I know how my mom is about that kind of stuff) But we'll probably go spotting to EHAM and visit the Aviodrome, and maybe even fly the AN-2.

I always take photos of my flights, but I cannot promise spotting photos because NCL is a real sh*thole.

And as for photos of flight attendants - not everyone reading this is male so some of us would appreciate photos of stewards as well

And as for photos of places, many of you know the places I go to anyway because they are always in Belgium.
Sabena and Sobelair - gone but never forgotten.

I will be flying from Brussels to Palma de Mallorca on september 2nd wit VEX and I was wondering wether there is a site similar to seatguru.com or lovemyseat.com that will tell me which seats are best on which type of airplane because VEX is not in these databases.

Regards,
Tom

My next trip will be AMS-WAW on August 17th and coming back the 29th, with KLM, I'm sure they still fly the 734 and 733 on that route. This is not really a holiday flight but if I'm in the mood, I might take a picture or two.

For those going on holiday to northern Italy, Como (50 km north of Milan) is well worth a visit.
Not only for the beautiful Duomo, the funicular and the wonderful sight of the Lake, but also for the seaplanes : it boasts to have the only permanent seaplane base (idroscalo) in Italy (ICAO : LILY).

The hangar is at the west part of the town, besides the football stadium.
It houses different types : Cessna L-19 and 172, Piper PA18, Maule M7, Caproni CA100 (all on floats) and a Lake LA250 (flying boat).
The "runway" , 01/19, is 950 x 150 m.

A tour of the left leg of the lake (which has the shape of an inverted Y), with the Aero Club Como Ce 172 costs 150 euros for the full load : 2 adults and 1 infant. Other trips can be arranged.
www.aeroclubcomo.com

Not cheap ! But it must be possible to make less costly a deal with the owners of private planes (Piper Cub or even with the old CA 100 biplane !).
