Virgin Express adds 50.000 seats to sunny destinations

Virgin Express anticipates the increasing market demand this summer by offering additional frequencies and capacity to 8 ‘sunny’ destinations. Thousands of extra seats are available to give passengers even more holiday options and flexibility.

Brussels, 20th of June 2006 - The leading Belgian low fare airline Virgin Express has increased the number of available flights and seats to no less than 8 European destinations.

38 additional flights will be added on a weekly basis in July and August, resulting in an additional capacity of more than 50.000 seats for the two months.

The destinations with additional frequencies are Athens, Barcelona, Bari, Catania, Faro, Malaga, Napoli and Nice.

In total, Virgin Express will offer 17 weekly flights to Athens, 23 weekly flights to Barcelona, 4 weekly services to Bari and Catania, daily services to Faro, 25 weekly flights to Malaga, 5 weekly flights to Napels and no less than 26 Virgin Express aircraft will land this summer every week in Nice. Virgin Express’ newest destination, Palermo, will welcome 4 direct services a week from Brussels.

The schedules are ideal for short breaks, longer holidays and city trips. Destinations and airports can be combined. Thanks to the one-way airfares and the excellent partnership with Hertz, passengers can for example fly to Rome, explore the wonderful Amalfi coast and return via Naples. Other possible combinations are for example Nice – Marseille, Malaga – Faro, Valencia – Murcia or Catania – Palermo. All combinations are available at very affordable prices.

One way fares including all taxes are already available as from € 49.

Virgin Express offers very flexible travel solutions (no minimum stay, one way tickets without extra costs, group bookings, booking changes possible on most of the fares,…).
Passengers can also book seats with extra legroom, preferred seats and Hertz renting cars online.
