3 ERJ145 from BMI Regional
2 Dash Q400 from Flybe
3 SSJ100 from City Jet
This is assuming they keep the Flybe and BMI contracts unchanged.

Looking at their current needs:
crew1990 wrote:And here the Avro's flight

6.30 Basel OO-DWC
9.30 Stockolm OO-DWE
9.35 Birmingham OO-DWL
10.05 Marseille OO-DWC
14.00 Bologne OO-DWD
14.40 Edimbourg OO-DWL
16.10 Basel OO-DWE
16.30 Birmingham OO-DWK
17.10 Stockolm OO-DWB
18.55 Copenhague OO-DWC
19.15 Stockolm OO-DWD
21.05 Marseille OO-DWK
21.15 Edimbourg OO-DWE
21.15 Birmingham OO-DWJ
crew1990 wrote:This is the wetleased flights of yesterday, it's almost everyday the same (nor on weekend day)

BMI Regional

9.25 Nantes G-RJXB
9.50 Bristol G-RJXI
10.25 Strasbourg G-RJXM
13.40 Strasbourg G-RJXI
15.25 Nuremberg G-RJXB
15.30 Turin G-RJXM
16.45 Bristol G-RJXI
20.35 Nantes G-RJXI
20.55 Bremen G-RJXG
21.20 Bristol G-RJXM

Flybe

9.20 Hanovre G-ECOK
9.55 Billund G-KKEV
15.50 Billund G-ECOK
17.20 Hanovre G-KKEV
21.00 Billund G-ECOK
21.10 Hanovre G-KKEV
The ERJs are quite busy with 10 "BMI" flights for 4 aircraft, of which 9 flights for 3 aircraft; same for the Dashs with 6 flights for 2 aircraft.

The Avros apparently perform 14 flights with 7 aircraft, as DWA is now out of the roster (cfr hereunder); 5 aircraft should be enough for these 14 flights.

DeltaWiskey wrote:DWA, end of Jan
DWJ, end of Feb
DWK, mid of Apr
DWL, mid of May
DWB, mid of July
DWC, end of Sep
DWE, mid of Oct
DWD, early Nov
So the real need for wet-leased aircraft under the current schedules is 10 aicraft + say 1 back-up. When the Avros will have disappeard and replaced by SSJs, the fleet would then be short by 2 or 3 aircraft.

So far, only 1 A319 (SSO) is announced; we can assume there will be more A320s coming. Anyone with insight on this?

SSO is announced but also SNI, and regarding wikipedia in FR, NL and EN another extra A319 should be coming. Can anyone confirm?

The q400 leases will probably not be extended in order to standardise on 4ea 50-seater and 4ea 100-seaters.

Does it mean that brussels airlines brand and c/s are here to stay for a long time even with the full integration within the LH Group ;-) ?!

Anything can happen, the Cityjet contract is only for 2 years. Guess they paid enough to include the painting of the birds.

When brand new planes are delivered in SN's c/s then we can maybe talk about long term things, but for ACMI leases it's nothing more than part of the contract.

A few months ago, I have came accross some preliminary information regarding an additional A320 (on top of sso/sni), but only to serve as a back-up aircraft from 01 July 2017. I haven't heard anything recent regarding this 'plan', maybe it is shelved, I really don't know.

I wouldn't look too deep into the cityjet contract, it is the result of decisions made 1,5y ago, long before it was certain that SN would be taken over by the LH group in 2016.

I think we see the American trend of outsourcing 'regional' flying coming to europe. Flybe, bmi, cityjet, braathens, etc are all doing a very decent job. Less risk for them, steady income throughout the year. On the other side, it enables mid-sized airlines like SN to operate a small fleet of regional aircraft at a reasonable cost for some very specific routes.

Hi,

I read the SSJ as :' ahhhhhh Bromma is saved for the future , at least two years from april :D ' !

For destinations BHX is already loaded as A319 for the future, FLR has a dedicated a319 so guess the other options are altogether SSJ routes , three planes is quite enough for these ;)

It is quite obvious this decision was pre LH..., don't think LH would opt for this option, E190 and CRJ9 enough within the eurowings group  !
Eurowings will switch to all A319/320 so their smaller jets must go somewhere... in two years ?

On a note : Helvetic, is it Swiss Wings in the future or independent enough to go on like this ?

CXB
New types flown 2022.. A339

Off topic, indeed. But I wrote in another topic (on Eurowings) that the future Eurowings Switzerland could be the present Belair.
