US Spy Plane Crash

Today in Afghanastan an AirForce U-2 went down during a return to bace after an over-night mission. The U-2 was headed to the United Arab Emirates. The cause of the crash is yet unknown but is most likely not enemy related. The Air Force has yet to disclose to U-2's location. Read more at: http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2005 ... clude=Juno

Spy Plane crashed and it came in the news, so not such a spy plane after all :wink:

This lady is hard to fly. It could be pilot fatigue or technical problems.

U-2 & formerly SR-71 flights from bases in Turkey and the island of Okinawa (Kadena AFB)were routinely observed during takeoffs and landings - but - the long route & ultimate destination(s) were always well beyond the view of the public eye.
