Message received from Lawrence Evans in Cardiff:

G-TUIB 787-8 Cardiff - Barbados - Cardiff International Airport 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 (CWL-BGI) Operating for a Cruise Flight on 7.1.24
Completely Full Flight which is excellent to see.
TUI have a very strong relationship with Cardiff International Airport and long may it continue.

Quite funny. These routes were doing (very) good from CRL. And now they already need to combine ALG/ORN from BRU on a triangle in peak season...

Constantine & Tlemcen had terrible loads from BRU (now cancelled) while always pretty much full from CRL.

After Brussels, TUI also cancels Schiphol to Cuba service

The last scheduled service between the Netherlands and Cuba will be canceled. TUI has decided not to fly to Varadero from mid-May, it has confirmed. According to a spokeswoman, demand is insufficient. Due to the limited number of travellers getting in and out of Varadero, it is no longer worthwhile. One of the reasons Cuba is no longer as popular is that the US has abolished visa-free travel.

According to fr24 indeed. Also scheduled for 31/3, I think it'll be the PVG 772 EC-MUA, but I'm not sure!

I contacted TUI Belgium, and their spokeswoman told me that, indeed, it would be a Privilege Style 777-200ER. As the airline has only one such aircraft, it will be EC-MUA, named "Auria".

The 787 you're talking about is gone for good to TUI NL. Not only for the summer season.
TUI BE only has OO-JDL left in its fleet.

TUI BE & NL work closely together, so they share their planes & yes in the end that 777 is going to replace a TUI 787. For one day.

With Fly4 starting and all those wet-leases flying for TUI BE, you'll soon have 1 chance out of 2 to fly a wet-lease when you book with TUI...

Engine issues, presumably. I saw it in the vicinity of Hangar 40 a few days ago with the #2 engine missing and the nacelle etc. taped up.
Though I don’t know anything about the exact nature of the issue(-s).

From what I've been told by a maintenance worker at TUI: An oil leak from engine #2's rear bearing.

If I'm not wrong, it was already expected for last year.

Delayed because TUI UK got new frames before TUI BE.
