My source for Georgian was...the Georgian website. If you think Aeroroutes is a more reliable source than the airline itself, why not, but you should reconsider it. Also, no, Etihad will remain at 7 weekly and its CEO even stated that all European destinations will be at 2 daily in the future (https://aviationweek.com/air-transport/ ... wed-growth). Stay focus.

With an evening flight would be nice. They have now a morning flight.

On this way the evening long haul wave is nicely growing.

Regarding SN, lack of crew or more flights to leisure destinations? It's really a serious downgrade. Or they want to avoid social unrest during high season

These are all the increases by SN, which means : 0. Only reductions unfortunately.
Maybe new destinations but so far, only Nairobi and Krakow.

The question is where they will use the brand new A320neo?

Kigali became daily also ;). From 5 to 7 flights a week. I konw Kigali is not a BIG Market and many people there probably want to see more routes to USA than a daily flight to Kigali ( i can understand it), but before Covid Brussels Airlines was a litle bit struggling at Kigali. Trafic was good, but competition quite stiff and the airline has lost monopoly at Kigali

Turkish, KLM and Qatar Airways served Kigali daily, not Brussels Airlines while from & to Kigali Amsterdam, Istanbul and Doha has smallest point to point trafic than Brussels

Now Kenya Airways will operate up to 3 flights a day to Kigali. Same thing for Ethiopian from the next summer. Egyptair has also added more flights to Kigali while Turkish now sends its A330s to Kigali. KLM now operates 5 times a week (scrapped daily service this summer probably due to Amsterdam slots troubles). But daily flights seem to back the next winter. It's thus a good thing to SN increase its capacity in Rwanda.

BJM is now served once again 2 times a week by SN since some months while since the begining of the Burundi unrest in 2014, the airline served Bujumbura one time a week. SN has also resumed some Africans routes suspended due to the covid : Luanda, Ouagadougou and Conakry (ok it was in 2021 & 2022).

If I am not wrong, they stated they want to put more capacity on leisure / sunny destinations, which makes sense.

Good route management means to adapt regularly. It doesn't make sense to fly 'empty' planes ;)

Let's wait and see what the overall offer (number of seats) will be for the summer season.

I saw that Tenerife will have daily Neo as of next month. At the moment it's mainly London, Paris, Barcelona, ...

So SN will only have 3 destinations in UK?
I remember the days it also served Belfast and Bristol.
Too bad they are reducing so many destinations. I can get they can't fill the a320.
They should get a220 or wetlease smaller aircraft like last year. (this is what I want, not the most profitable probably.)

I agree with you. In the future to have only A320 and 330 is too big. They need a smaller plane like the A220 for the calmer moments during the day and the destinations where the demand is not that big but still important as feeder flights. Otherwise I'm afraid that more destinations will disappear and the marketshare will be never higher

About the UK, Brussels Airlines will have 4 flight a day to London Heathrow with A320/A320neo, It was 3 times daily during S23, 4 times daily with a combination A319/A320/A320neo during W23/24 so it's quite an increase here.

Yes, but not an increase to be excited about. The sole purpose of this extra flight is to keep the slot warm for UA when they need it again, this extra flight only bleeds money as the extra capacity is not needed.

So does Brussels Airport: no other airline is filling the voids. And British Airways only flies to LHR from Brussels (they did fly to other UK destinations in the past, most notably Manchester).

I know, but for the big ones we still have to wait. Two should release soon and a third big one, not flying yet to BRU is probably not for this year anymore but for next year
Do you have an update on these "big ones"?

One should announce before or at the beginning of the Summer season. Expectations are that they will start during Winter 2024-2025.

The others no more information yet. I don't expect some news in the next months as it will be for 2025
