The journey to the city of Kinshasa, where all the hotels are located can take up to 4 hours both way for a layover of just 24h. They found as solution a national park outside with "luxurious" tent... Air France made the choice to send their crew to Brazaville.

No other « normal » airline have their crew stayed in Kinshasa at the moment. AF, ET, AT, CLX… all left for BZV or alternate solutions (deadheading crew…).
I understand crew1990 is a cabin crew dpt coach, but truth needs to be told.
SN is sparing money on the back of their crew’s safety and security. Price tag: three days of strike.

Lumumba, the problem is not beeing nice or not. The problem is beeing suitable for crew who need security (mainly in a country as RDC), safety and rest what tent accomodation cannot provide at all.

In the case of Luanda, this is not a crew station at the moment, and if one day it would become one this would not be a problem as there are 3 weekly flight meaning longer stop over, so a 2-3h ride have less impact than riding twice 4 hours on a 24h layover. I also guess that there will be hotel around the airport by this time.

I understand,but for Luanda I was speaking about other airlines like Luftansa they will be confronted with the same problem knowing that the layover is only 16h,and there are no hotels on the program for the moment around the airport let's see how they will resolve it.

A strike is self-destruct for everybody.

On arrival of SN231 from Cotonou, and before the return flight to BRU, a sick passenger had to be disembarked using an ambulift…
Seeing the size of the gash in the fuselage, we now have a Plane with Reduced Mobility.

No info however concerning OO-SFF as to the reason she was blocked at Lomé yesterday.
According to FR 24, return via ACC is planned for this evening as SN1278.
