In the US, Chinese Airliners were allowed to increase their frequencies on certain routes to different US cities but only on condition that those additional routes would make the same detour as what the US companies are doing when they fly to China, ie. avoid Russian airspace.
I assume the same is not going to apply in this case to Chinese airliners coming to Belgium...
For as far as I can see, also in other European countries the Chinese were allowed to increase their frequencies without the penalty of having to fly a detour. In English it's called "level playing field"...

Why not, there is plenty of need if SN continues stubbornly to fly to destination where people are incompetent and the infrastructure is in disrepair according to some.
So the "flag carrier" will be immediately identified in this priority market for the LH Group with its variety of colour schemes :
* 4 Bee tails
* 2 Eurowings
* 2 Smarties
* 1 Eurowhite w/ Bee tail

This might be actually an opportunity to open the door for the NEO's at SN.
For sure it makes no sense to fly them nowhere in Africa , but they might be cash cows for transatlantic routes, if managed well.
And LH demonstrated recently that they can do well being opportunistic.
Very sad, but predicted like I did a few years ago. You can't survive from BRU without feeder flights. It's just burning money and not having good investors.
I hope LH let SN the opportunity to use one of the remaining pax planes from KF for the time one of their own got stuck.
If the LH group is not helping why not HiFly of KF?

They're not gone, they just decided to do the smartest thing and that's to focus on 2 lines of business instead of trying to do everything. I reckon that the ACMI business makes more money (or is less risky) than scheduled flights and as such ensures theat Air Belgium can stay alive. As such maybe it's a good day as Air Belgium finally does what it needed to do all along.

I reckon they try to place the aircraft like what Airhub did with Corendon. ACMI doesn't mean the aircraft remains idle all the time waiting for an emergency.
