The Belgian CEO which you remember is Johan Vanneste, currently CEO of Köln-Bonn Airport. Daily management was done by a mostly Belgian team. However during this whole time VLM had actually been completely in the hands of the Dutch entrepreneur Jaap Rosen Jacobsen, since he bought the airline with 1 aircraft in 1995 until he sold it with 18 aircraft in 2007 to AF-KLM. During this time Jacobsen was not involved with petty daily management, but he was very involved with all the strategic decisions. He cashed 178 mio EUR by selling VLM!Atlantis wrote: ↑18 Apr 2020, 17:55 No, completely not. It was the period before the Dutch came. I think they took over VLM in 2008 and transformed it inti Cityjet. I'm talking the period before that. It was even not 8 year but even 10 years in a row that they made profit. The management was also very solid with a Belgian CEO
