Today I've been @ EBOS to deliver Andries' scanner, before our meeting I've made some pics (2 arrivals :jumpy: ), 2 examples here, a few others on: http://home2.scarlet.be/bramb3/14mei.htm
Evergreen and Kalitta are operating cargo flights on behalf of US Army. The reason they come at Ostend is for refuelling on their way to Kuwait or Doha. Flights from and to the States are with flightnumber EIA or CKS. The flights to and from the Middle East are with flightnumber RCH.

Not 100% correct. Lately, only Evergreen is flying EBOS and is constantly using EIA-code ...
nice to see a cargo-747 at EBOS without its windows covered,
looks just like as if we have a passenger service
from Ostend International to the States.

Hello Andries,
What kind of "daily taxes" are these?
Did FR really make some kind of commitment with Ostend Airport until 2018??? 8O It's a bit hard to believe that a company (and certainly FR) would ever make such a long commitment of 15 years!
Thanks for the info.

PS: Off topic: When and why did the TAAG Angola Airlines operations stop at OST?
When Ryanair wanted to come to EBOS, they made some demands, including a name-change for the airport to OStend-Bruges Airport.
But also the airport made some demands ! The agreement was made for 15 years of a minimum of 1 daily flight to and from EBOS. Eventually it comes down to this : It doesn't matter if they fly 0 flights or 1 flight per day, they will allways pay for 1 flight per day (except if they would fly more than once per day)
