Why no aircraft visible on Google Earth?
Something very strange on Google Earth with Brussels airport there is not a single plane at Brussels Airport!!!!
Hasta la victoria siempre.
Re: Google Earth.
I am guessing that Google is using a special algorytm to remove all aircraft from their application.
Re: Why no aircraft visible on Google Earth?
But on other airports the aircraft's are there like an normal day?!
Hasta la victoria siempre.
Re: Why no aircraft visible on Google Earth?
Probably just the way the photos were stitched, and a bit of luck/coincidence.
More often than not, photos from multiple passes are used for adjacent images. If things work out just right, this could be the result you’ll get.
I don’t really see the benefit of actively removing aircraft from the images, but you never know.

If ever a discussion was worthy of the "Trivia" classification, it must surely be this one.

Google is American. In the most recent pictures, they clean up every airport where a number of B737Max are parked....

My messages reflect my personal opinion which may be different than yours. I beleive a forum is made to create a debate so I encourage people to express themselves, the way they want, with the ideas they want. I expect the same understanding in return.

But why only at Brussels airport?

The mid-flight plane can be seen on Google Maps by switching to satellite view and going to 50°51'34.4″N 0°39'12.3″W. Alternatively, you can easily visit this link, or just check out the embed down below
Re: Why no aircraft visible on Google Earth?
1. Google is experimenting with an algorithm to remove moving objects from Google Maps (don't ask me why they think it is a good idea)
2. It isn't perfect and it shows even at BRU, it is inaccurate to state there are no aircraft at all, though none at the gates indeed (check the GA and maintenance aprons);
3. It isn't just BRU; I don't know how they select the airports affected by the algorithm (maybe has to do with when the satellite view is updated), but go look at ATL or JFK - they are *never* as deserted as they look on Google Maps.

Hi
Are you using Real software or the app?
If youre using the software, are you using the smooth option?
Also, can you send me a screenshot of the altimetry in ge file and one of the altimetry preview you have in the software/app?
Regards
