Public transport strike 28 May: Do not travel to Schiphol if it is not strictly necessary
Please do not travel to or from Schiphol on Tuesday 28 May if it is not strictly necessary. Due to the national public transport strike no buses and trains will be running in the Netherlands.
We expect high congestion on the roads to and from the airport.
There is very limited train traffic between Schiphol and Amsterdam to keep crowd levels at Schiphol under control. This involves four trains per hour instead of the usual 25 trains per hour. Furthermore, there is no public transport.
Please postpone your trip if possible. Check live traffic information before you depart. Please contact your airline for flight information.

This minimal service level (4 trains per hour) is a court obligation, obtained by Schiphol Airport and the city or Haarlemmermeer.sn26567 wrote: ↑27 May 2019, 20:56 Public transport strike 28 May: Do not travel to Schiphol if it is not strictly necessary

Another day of strikes at Schiphol: The Dutch labour union FNV has called the staff of security, cleaning, baggage, apron and check-in to strike on a number of moments during the day. This might affect your journey. Are you flying from or to Schiphol? Please take account for longer waiting times.
(For all those travellers saying they would never again fly from Brussels, it's not better elsewhere!)
