Sorry guys, should have added the tongue-in-cheek smiley.

You're not supposed to turn left when entering an A320.

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Been seeing a Eurowings A340-300 taking off on Wednesday, Thursday and today now for SN501, is there a problem with the A330 fleet ? It's also planned for tomorrow
It moved from being occasional to frequently.

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
It is actually a Brussels Airlines A340-300 in Eurowings livery!

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
SFT and SFY are in LIS for C-check I read on another topic here (will they return to the fleet?); SFU on maintenance at BRU I believe; SFZ apparently still AOG at BRU since the engine problem on return from Kinshasa. So, no SN A332 available for the moment.
On top of OO-SCW doing JFK (untill?), OO-SFJ (an A333 from LH with EW livery) has been doing Dakar-Banjul/Conakry for more than a week now.

That makes sense.convair wrote: ↑23 Nov 2018, 15:29SFT and SFY are in LIS for C-check I read on another topic here (will they return to the fleet?); SFU on maintenance at BRU I believe; SFZ apparently still AOG at BRU since the engine problem on return from Kinshasa. Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
First revenue flight today for OO-SFG as SN277.
(I assume it still has the Singapore interior)

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
I had understood from previous posts that the new interior was going to be presented at the end of November.luchtzak wrote: ↑30 Nov 2018, 14:39 Press release of Brussels Airlines: Brussels Airlines rejuvenates its Airbus A330 long-haul fleet

I now understand that the work will only start now. When will the first newly equipped aircraft be ready?
Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
From what I heard, a presentation of the new interior to the press would take place in December. But if it is like the previous time, only a few seats should be presented in b.house.

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
There are some problems with the certificationof the seats. The presentation would be more than a few seats, it would be a presentation of the whole new cabin !

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
Thank you André .. sorry for the link problem, just found out about it now.
Spohr repeats what is unfortunately already known. Each airline of the group must finance its equipment separately. No policy, no investment for sn except the routine thing.

Re: Brussels Airlines' fleet renewal
It's not so much the financing an sich, it's a matter of being able to 'prove' a (financial) return on the invested capital. Or do you think SN is capable of financing this investment on its own without help from LH? It might 'just' be "old A333s" for many, but we are still talking about an investment of a few hundred million Euro's, even without the full cabin retrofits (which, as you might know, don't come cheap either).sn-remember wrote: ↑01 Dec 2018, 23:08 Thank you André .. sorry for the link problem, just found out about it now.

And before the EW arguments come, LH will never accept EW to continu like this without drastic and rapid improvements in their financial and operational performance. It would just be quite hypocrite of LH to blame EW for it's current performance after forcing them to integrate tens of new aircraft and thousands of new employees in less than a year without any consequences.
LHG is fundamentally run as a cash machine and whatever 'project' or company division doesn't perform and/or for a period longer than what's seen as 'normal' (one-off extra ordinary costs, ...) will be required to restructure fundamentally and otherwise closed down or (in best case) sold, "pet-project" or not.
Obviously when you built the whole strategy of a group with >35billion EUR in revenue on 3 main pillars and of those 1 is EWG with the aim to become the 3rd largest in LCC/P2P/hybrid group in Europe in just a few years, you accept a bit more 'extraordinary costs'.

I saw OO-SFY yesterday in Lisboa without engine nacelles...convair wrote: ↑23 Nov 2018, 15:29SFT and SFY are in LIS for C-check I read on another topic here (will they return to the fleet?); SFU on maintenance at BRU I believe; SFZ apparently still AOG at BRU since the engine problem on return from Kinshasa.
