There's more to languages than machine translation ; but it was rightly stated that you seem to have time before you, to learn better. Do!
Re: Air Belgium in 2018
To me this was perfecly correct : "You use finally to suggest that something happens after a long period of time, usually later than you wanted or expected it to happen."

Re: Air Belgium in 2018
Is this a topic about air belgium or the correct use of the english language?
Re: Air Belgium in 2018
I can't read minds, but I guess TLSpotting wanted to say "the first revenu flight was done quite long after delivery of the aircraft".
Re: Air Belgium in 2018
And with that we should agree to close this linguistic diversion

Yep, that's probably the case for aircraft who's future was to be parked at Tarbes or Chateauroux. VG Airlines also started like that for their A332's, back in 2002 (= with Nine Eleven in mind).Desert Rat wrote: ↑18 Sep 2018, 16:54A reason for this might be that the leasing term is different for the last A/C...might be PBH instead of a monthly flat rate.
But then, once again: the posts from TLSpotting suggest that OO-ABD was supposed to enter in service sooner. And apart from aircraft lease, there are other fixed costs too.

Re: Air Belgium in 2018
Yes, but ABB had enough A/C's to operate their business this summer, reason why a pay by the hour A/C will be left on the ground, and the other 3 will be prefered for the daily operation.
This might be an explanation....I don't say that's the way it is. To have a pbh A/C in the fleet would give them some flexibility and relief on the monthly fee to be paid to asset management.

Indeed, ABE has flown for AF and BA.
ABA and ABB have both flown for KF mainly.

When I wrote ABB I meant Air Belgium...not OO-ABB...the aircraft...
PBH A/C would be the last one...OO-ABD.

I think that the whole project from CRL was foomed from the beginning. They were really unlucky with cathay
Beating them with launching HKG from BRU. I do not believe that the market is large enough for both airliners..
Re: Air Belgium in 2018
But they where not aiming the same clients!
Hasta la victoria siempre.
Re: Air Belgium in 2018
The project with U-tour, the Chinese tour operator didn't seem to work...
Re: Air Belgium in 2018
I think it was written. Why not focus on what does not exist instead of competing with Hainan and Cathay. For example South America (Colombia / Peru / Brazil) and probably from Zaventem ...
