https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/af104

21th July: ETD 14h10 -> 14h58 (OO-ABA)
22th July: ETD 14h10 -> 14h39 (operated by AF B777)
23th July: ETD 14h10 -> 16h04 (OO-ABE)
24th July: ETD 14h10 -> 17h36 (OO-ABE)
25th July: ETD 14h10 -> 14h49 (OO-ABE)
26th July: ETD 14h10 -> 15h34 (OO-ABE)
27th July: ETD 14h10 -> 16h10 (OO-ABE)
28th July: ETD 14h10 -> 17h02 (OO-ABE)

I do not intend to minimize the delays mentioned hereabove, some of them being unacceptable for the pax involved.

However, I have 3 comments:
1. as you know, the ETD refers to the time the planes are supposed to leave the gates, whereas the indicated departure time is the time of actual take off;
2. we do not know the reason(s) of those delays: it can be AB of course, but also AF (late boarding...), the airport, or any other cause;
3. in order to show your total impartiality, feel free to widen your reporting to long haul flights of other companies such as SN, LH, and others... :)

Fully agree Convair.

I cannot count the number of SN flights to AFI that got delayed because of transfer Pax not having the required visa.
They (rightfully) linger in the lounge and when they show up at the gate the agent spots the problem.
"Palabre" and checked luggage offload. Delay.

But to compare apples wit apples :
According to FR24, between 29JUL17 and 26JUN18, 333 flights (all operated by AF) were to be operated as AF104.
17 got cancelled. 5.1%. About one every 3 weeks.
13 flights left "on-time", i.e. with a delay not exceeding 15 minutes.
12% left with a delay of up to 2 hours.
5% left with a delay of up to 6 hours.

But OK, we are not in an AF bashing exercise here....

Strong accusiation Jan, but aren’t you jumping to conclusions in true HLN style?
How many of these delays were due to AB, ie crew or technical?
How many are caused by AF? eg: boarding issues, ground staff/ loading issues, waiting for connecting passengers?
How many flights had slot delays or suffered from airport congestion (no gate available)
How many are caused by the passengers themselves? Eg no shows with checked bags?

It means SN would not do his job at the airport of origin if some passengers are arriving without visa ? :?

Admitting once again that commercial air transport is not really my cup of tea, I was mainly annoyed by the (perceived) one-sidedness of certain comments.

It Seems to me that AB is not the only one to get troubles departing on time... ;)

Are they IATA meanwhile?
Are they in/on a GDS meanwhile?
Do they have a call centre meanwhile - or even a telephone number?

I rest my case.

Of course they have a phone number. But is it their call centre (for bookings)?
And if so, why isn't it published on the obvious place for bookings and related questions?

Talked to a Air Belgium crew member the other day.
I asked about the load factor.
He said: it depends on the day really. Sometimes we are fully booked, but on other days only half or less of the seats are occupied.

As for the other three, it is leased from Airbus Financial Services. Hence I guess the terms are favourable: Airbus had to take back those planes from Finnair in order to sell them the A350.

Yes, and I quote : 'Air Belgium propose désormais 3 vols/semaine vers Hong-Klong'.

Hong Klong ! Who wouldn't want to go there? :D
