Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2018
I was wondering all the while! I saw airliners on the 25 approaches, though not many - but this is not the busy time of day anyway. So no, you are not being pedantic, not at all, you are stating fact.

On 3th July 2018, Iberia IB-3214 Madrid-Brussels (A320-200 reg EC-JFN) stopped it climb out of MAD when the crew noticed a strong burning odour in the cockpit and subsequently noticed smoke emanating from the air conditioning vents. The crew donned their oxygen masks and returned to Madrid.

Well, also SN3622 NCE BRU OOTCQ went to Charleroi !
In our main page report, we wrote "traffic disturbed" by thunderstorms. And we showed the diversion of OO-TCQ to CRL

My messages reflect my personal opinion which may be different than yours. I beleive a forum is made to create a debate so I encourage people to express themselves, the way they want, with the ideas they want. I expect the same understanding in return.

It is not mentioned in the article, but is it due to the lack of police officers or to yet another problem with the automatic passport readers?Acid-drop wrote: ↑27 Jul 2018, 09:36 Yet another messy day

Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2018
I agree with your first part: it takes much longer. Most passengers first have to find out how to insert their ID or passport into the machine (that part is only temporarily of course; once everybody is adapted to these machines this should go faster). Then the machine comes alive, takes a photo, does its checks, and the gate opens. That's the best case scenario. Few weeks ago it did not work for my wife as well as for quite some other passengers. And I saw a guy who's passport or ID card did not come back out of the machine.
I have to disagree with the second part. When I was there few weeks ago, the police officers on duty were helping and assisting. But looking at how these machines were working (or not), I did not envy those officers...
But in general the service has become worse indeed...
Best regards,
Ivan

It’s a dangerous machine for your fingers too: mine got almost stuck when the machine swallowed my passport for a check. Anyway: for passengers less than 1,40 m you have to follow the normal row.

Hop! Flight A54318 Lyon (LYS)-Brussels (BRU) diverted to ANR on 29 July, arriving there at 21:30. Anyone knows the reason?

Is probably just an error from Flightradar24, as the flight is not fully recorded.SkyTourist wrote: ↑30 Jul 2018, 01:45 Hop! Flight A54318 Lyon (LYS)-Brussels (BRU) diverted to ANR on 29 July, arriving there at 21:30. Anyone knows the reason?

OO-JAS (JAF2XB) made a u-turn over the North of France, and seems to be heading back to BRU or CRL.
EDIT: seem to be in right hand downwind for BRU.

Airplane is currently parked near the TUI hangar. Technicians are looking at the left-hand engine while passengers are kept on board.

Could well be.
40 minutes before actual take off Flighstats.com has the following data update entry :
Estimated Runway Arrival changed to Aug-02-2018 1:24 AM (soon after corrected to 00:15, 90 min delay).
Is the fuel so expensive at ACE? Limited supply?
