Indeed, but I didn't see a word about a conciliatory meeting on the 14th.sn26567 wrote: ↑09 May 2018, 18:17But if there is a conciliatory meeting on Monday 14th, they could at least wait until the end of the meeting, no?

Re: Strikes affecting Belgian airports in 2018
In fact, I remember there have been cases (not concerning airlines, though) where management refused discussing/meeting as long as a strike was threatened?
Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
Brussels Airlines regrets announced strike despite new negotiation talks
The union delegation representing the pilot community of Brussels Airlines has called for strike actions on Monday May 14th and Wednesday May 16th. These actions will affect over 60,000 passengers – holidaymakers, commuters and business travellers. Cityjet wet-lease flights are not affected.I guess flights to Stockholm-Bromma are not affected (due to wet-leasing with Cityjet)? Could you confirm?"
Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
Cityjet will be flying, but not necessarily to Bromma, aircraft could used to fly to other destinations...
A friend got a text message saying his flight is cancelled, he needs to rebook and is happy to leave on sunday, but SN doesn’t answer phone, mail nor twitter!
Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
guess they're a bit busy at the moment as they allow you to rebook free of charge
and Stockholm-Bromma is only operated on the sukhoi

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
A quick glance shows that these flights are Sukhoi operated flights. (and the two Eurowings flights from Dusseldorf)
Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
... and flights operated by bmi Regional and ASL Airlines France !
But why doesn't SN call on Air Belgium to fly one or two long-haul flights?

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
--> I told you that in the last chance meeting, management woud propose to "buy" the pilots with company cars (they are real specialists in this area, better in Mercedes C-Class or Volvo XC60 than to run an airline properly). They indeed proposed a "plan cafetaria" to do so... as if the pilots wanted money or cars...Darjeeling wrote: ↑08 May 2018, 17:20I can't agree more with your statement. Pilots and CC have more than been rolled by the management. It's more than time for the payback. The pilot's market will dictate the future shape of SN, but management will have to give something else than a discount at Volvo dealership or a bottle of (bad) discounted Cava. SN is now poured into the low-cost arm of LH Group and SN management has to impose low-cost "way of doing". The time of the "braaf piloten" who are lucky to have a job in Belgium is now over.
--> to answer André regarding why Air Belgium isn't operating any long-haul flight for SN: I simply imagine that A.B crews care about solidarity. They don't want to spoil or interfere with the SN pilots actions.
--> SN management pilots are requested to operate EW long-haul flights, you now spot where the priorities are

--> It's now or never for SN crew community, otherwise they will NEVER ever be respected.
Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
I just had a conversation with Kim Daenen, the Brussels Airlines spokeswoman, she confirmed me that every flight on Brussels Airlines metal that is scheduled to leave from Brussels Airport will be cancelled on Monday AND on Wednesday. That is A319-A320 not the Cityjet and BMI Regional operations.
I asked Kim to go for the wait-and-see method, but Brussels Airlines doesn't want to have thousands of stranded passengers at Brussels Airport. The airline is now rebooking and rerouting passengers onto other airlines and on other days, which is time-consuming. Passengers can also go for the refund.
Meanwhile I read that on Wednesday cabin crew is joining the pilots strike as support, and mother company Lufthansa isn't happy with the current situation either.
Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
it's clearly indicated ... message on their webpage says "Please find here a list of flights that will be operated on 14 and 16 May" so all other flights are cancelled indeed ...
but ofcourse 1 or 2 Sukhoi's will be AOG or delayed as usual

This strike or not, it won't make a difference
But if you have nothing to lose, why not try?
Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018
But if there is a strike on monday and wednesday, all flight on SN metal are cancelled nor the one coming from outstation because the pilot have to bring back the aircraft to the base.
But as the last flights on Monday and Wednesday, with the aircraft normally staying overnight at outstation are cancelled, it will means the morning flight from outstation on Tuesday and Thursday will be cancelled as there will be no aircraft at outstation?
