The days are long gone when people in this Scandinavian country were all blond and blue-eyed.
Nowadays close to 30% (!) of people in this country have an immigration background, with Iraqi the third most common foreign nationality even (on a par with Syrians), both of then just a few thousand less than the Finns (which still cling on to the number one position, probably not longer when 2017 statistics will come out): I can tell you it's quite 'cosy' in Sweden sometimes because of these 'guests'...

So just like I said then: about 30% of people living in Sweden have a clear and personal immigration background nowadays, very often with countries like Iraq, but also Syria Afghanistan etc, so it's really not surprising at all to see airlinks like these being established if security allows it, similar to how France is extremely well connected to Algeria, or Belgium with Morocco for instance.
