About the uniforms, website Upinthesky.nl says: "The airline targets youngsters, looking at the flight attendants uniforms. It's not a traditional uniform, but they look like hipsters in coffee bar!"
Do they have to work at Joon until 60 ? or is that age-restricted

Air France new millenials subsidiary is called Joon

Re: The new Air France long-haul LCC has been called "Joon"
For me, Joon qualifies for the Marketing Blunder of the Year. By presenting themselves that strongly as an airline, made for the 18-35's, they discourage passengers above 50-60. I wonder if they know the average passengers age for their three destinations outside Europe: Cairo, Cape Town and Tehran. Most of the passengers now using Air France will not switch to Joon.

Millennials flying to Tehran ?
Re: The new Air France long-haul LCC has been called "Joon"
That must be the ugliest uniform in the sky
Passenger, looking a BA pax profile for CPT and CAI: First and business class: Older public, economy plus and economu: young people .... so both work

Actually the article refers to PNC, Personnel Navigant Commercial, Cabin Crew or Flight Attendants.
PNT is Personnel Navigant Technique, Flight Crew or Pilots (and Flight Engineers, err never mind).
Harsh working condition for "Stewards and Hostesses". Cabin crew are exhausted.
A CCM reports fatigue and repeated sinusitis due to air conditioning in the aircraft.
Aaah, were are the days you could open a window and breath fresh air?

If we could only open a window in mid air, it would be nice

So, if I understand correctly, the millennials show is only an excuse to launch an airline with lower wages and higher productivity than Air France, thus saving on personnel costs.

Yes, only the pilots are air france staff.
Air France, where the pilots salary is function of the speed and weight of the A/C (authentic).

In many airlines, pilots earn more if the fly bigger aircraft.

Yes true, but AF is the only one incorporating the speed factor, brought by the"Concorde"...Poiu wrote: ↑26 Nov 2018, 11:36A bit simplistic!Desert Rat wrote: ↑26 Nov 2018, 09:48.

Re: Air France new millenials subsidiary is called Joon

This was my view before the launch of the airline.luchtzak wrote: ↑20 Jul 2017, 20:15 I am 40 years old and I am also hyperconnected
An American study proves that 1 out of 3 passengers over 40 travels at least every year, and 50% at least once per 6 months.
For 60+ that's 36% at least every year and 40% at least every 6 months.

if you are creating an airline based on age, that's a terrible marketing idea ...
If you are creating an airline besides Air France (or Hop!) it means that YOU ARE creating an airline to attack low cost carriers.
Re: Air France new millenials subsidiary is called Joon
Air France-KLM will be asked to pay a €40 million penalty to the French national airline pilots union in order to repay their efforts in helping launch Joon, should the Group move forward with the closure.
