According to ch-aviation, Romania's FlyValan delays its Italian market debut. Anybody knows more?
I read elsewhere that Fly Valan (Romania) will now inaugurate charter service from Genova to Trieste on 27 November, and from Trieste to Ronchi dei Legionari on 28 November 2017, both with ATR72.
But that article says nothing about the flights to Brussels.
They say that their (first) aircraft is going to be the ATR-72 with MSN 747. That is an ex Cabo Verde D4-CBT ATR-72-212A, First flight date 18/04/2007, Test reg F-WWEH: http://www.airfleets.net/ficheapp/plane-atr-747.htm

27 November has passed...
FlyValan to postpone its Genoa – Barcelona service and reconsider the route in early 2018 due to low demand.
Additionally, the carrier postponed the start of commercial operations, from Genoa to Brussels, til 07 or 08 December 2017 due to the certification process of the Romanian CAA.
In fact, there isn't much link with Romania besides the registration of the company and the AOC. All the capital and people involved are from Moldova and Russia. FlyValan seems to be closely related to Valan Cargo, a Moldovan company that operates charter cargo flights in Africa. It's history has links with Victor Bout and has its origin in the confusion that followed the fall of USSR. For many pilots, going to Africa with the planes they were flying (with not so clear property rights - after the demise of the "soviet" Aeroflot) was the only alternative to unemployment. And in the end, it was proved that old soviet planes flying on not-so-great runaways in Africa could bring a nice profit...

Thanks for these clarification. Most people here are unaware of the history of the company.
No Brussels flights, only Triëste, as from January 23
