OO-TSC = a TNT 777 (TAY-917) coming from AMS is in holding above Hasselt / Sint-Truiden, waiting for landing clearance for LGG.
(not related to BRU indeed, but probably delayed because of the many divertions/repositionings from BRU to LGG).

first time i ever see that ... LGG must be very busy indeed (on the ground then, because the airspace seems ok)

Emirates has cancelled Brussels service on 24 and 25MAR16; ETIHAD service to Brussels on 24MAR16 operates to Dusseldorf instead.

Re: Repositioning of BRU operations to other airports after attacks
Isn't that a bit curious? There is a quite nice high speed train, the ICE. Perhaps they found the shuttle coach* less expensive, even if it is slower and less comfortable?shuttle bus service will be provided for Frankfurt - Brussels.
*coach, indeed, not bus - those who insist on using English on these pages would do well to set a good example, and write proper English
Re: Repositioning of BRU operations to other airports after attacks
Any idea yet of the l/f on the first wave of these repositioned flights? Even this reduced operation looks ambitious.

from tomorrow evening, you get all the holidays people
they can't really afford to miss such an important week end, can they ?

Erm... I doubt they'll have a choice.Acid-drop wrote:is it ?

JAF will operate all their flights out of CRL/LGG/OST until Monday (that makes quite a lof of "holiday people")...

Re: Repositioning of BRU operations to other airports after attacks
Thank all of you who send me a PM with advice on parking in Liege.
I think I'll be using the free shuttle bus from Brussels Airlines; that way I don't risk losing yet another car at an airport. Thanks again.

Re: Repositioning of BRU operations to other airports after attacks
A shuttle bus is the only way to organize this properly, smoothly and under control. Just one example: the bus leaves when you tell the driver it's OK. For a train, it's a fixed schedule. Two minutes too late? Train is gone. And from my experience, a bus transfer on such distance will not work out much cheaper then a train.jan_olieslagers wrote:Isn't that a bit curious? Looks like they changed the bus schedule to Liège again. First bus leaves as late as 14:30 from Brussels, which seriously reduces the usefulness of the service.

When I checked it this morning (because I might have to use it tomorrow), the earliest bus from the National Bank was said to depart at 9:30.
