Hello everybody,
When reading the announcement of the new nonstop Seoul - Rome route by Asiana Airlines, I asked myself how are the chances for Asiana to start a nonstop route to BRU.
What do you think about it?
P.S. : Sorry if it has already been discussed.

Nil!
Italy's a very popular destination for South Korean tourists. One does not see them in Belgium.

hè hè, some weeks ago I posted something about destinations for SN, and I named Korea.
If Asiana would come to Brussels, I will send a message to the SN top, asking for a well paid consultancy fee.

Seems to fit in the line of BRU-HND, BRU-NRT, BRU-HKG, BRU-SIN, no?Airbus A330 wrote:Hello everybody,

I do hope for those (again) one day, but I seriously doubt it in the near future.

ICN-BRU just doesn't have the weight to support it IMO. There is literally no local business at both ends to support it despite some cargo that flies in and out.
Rome works out for many Asian carriers simply because of things to see there but even that is low yield demand that will not be sustainable all-year round.

Re: Possible route Seoul - Brussels by Asiana ?
It was discussed long time ago ..
I stand among those who think it is feasable.
It would be transit oriented.
On the BRU side : AFI and Europe (Spain+regional markets in UK,France possibly Germany and Italy)
On the ICN side : the whole of Japan, PVG, Australia.
Could work IMHO with a B788 or something that size and efficiency
(BTW, there is an o/D market but small)
Cargo is also an important factor that could make the A333neo a potential candidate .. hmm

If a Cessna 172 had the range it might work. Bigger aircraft will struggle.....
