If i understand well, it means 10 pax flight with belly cargo ?
My messages reflect my personal opinion which may be different than yours. I beleive a forum is made to create a debate so I encourage people to express themselves, the way they want, with the ideas they want. I expect the same understanding in return.

No, QR is flying A330F also. These QR flights are on top off the pax flights.

What do you mean?of bitter rumor of one of the two cargo airline Cargolux is going to stop deservire Amsterdan. I know it has no more.
Cargolux might come to BRU, right? Instead of AMS?
Thanks,

Well, if I am not wrong, Stijn is referring to Request for slots allocation (introduced to BRU slot coordinator).
If this is what he talks about we should be careful before jumping to conclusions.
- First of all, coordinator has to approve requests. (For Ethiopian Cargo, just remember the conflicting situation with TNT last year and the "complete mess" created by DGTA inconsistent decisions.)
- Once slots are allocated, airlines have the right to use them or not.
So, more slots do not necessary mean more flights. LGG have the same problem: a lot of contacts but only a few translate into new viable destinations.
And I don't talk about recurrent cargo flight cancelations.
RGDS.

What kind of a stupid remark is this member liege-bierset. Let me be very clear to you: I'm not taking part in games and bashing between BRU, CRL of LGG.liege-bierset wrote:Atlantis : "Good job" I guess you are happy but are you serious or maybe Un BisounoursAtlantis wrote:Impressive increase of QR Cargo and very soon already after three weeks of ops at BRU. You don't have to point out what slot requests are because I have a very long history in the aviation world, so I'm laughing now actually.
And third, when I wrote "good job" then I mean it only to Qatar Cargo who sees the potential in Belgium.
Nothing more, nothing less and I don't want to be involved in any stupid game like we can see her the last couple of years. I'm one of the "good old members" who stayed away from this forum just because of that. If I want to post something then it is my good right to do it.

I looks like QR Cargo has started to operate DOH-BRU-ORD and back.
Packages will not complain about it, but I notice that very often all the Qatar Cargo flights have a significant delay of about 90 minutes.

The delay you are talking about is that ex BRU or ex origin?

Re: Brucargo: cargo routes, news, Brucargo West, Diabolo.
The incoming flights (ex origin) are the ones that repeatedly come in late. Departures ex BRU are delayed as well, but assumingly as a result of the late incoming aircraft.flightlover wrote:The delay you are talking about is that ex BRU or ex origin?
Re: Brucargo: cargo routes, news, Brucargo West, Diabolo.
It's very common in the air freight sector that flights are delayed or a high percentage is cancelled compared to pax flights. Cargo is not complaining when you keep it waiting a few more hours (e.g. in case a large sending is delayed and you want to wait for it) contrary to passengers and as long as you can deliver the cargo within the period specified to the client, there is no problem.
Of course you try to minimise delays as much as possible, but sometimes it's better to wait a bit longer to make sure you can take more freight with you than to have it stuck for probably at least a day and flying with a less full aircraft. Also when you have a flight with only a few things on board, it can be better to just cancel that flight if you have a frequent service and if there is not that much hurry to have it delivered that particular day, and just combine it with the flight the next day to operate at a higher loadfactor.
But I'm not a specialist either, so correct me or complete my comments if needed

ORD is a try out and the demand was there. In the next coming weeks, QR cargo is going to increase their presence at BRUEstablished02 wrote:I looks like QR Cargo has started to operate DOH-BRU-ORD and back.

Qatar Cargo are already operating similar flight from AMS since April 2011. Day 3 & 6.
DOH-AMS-ORD-AMS-DOH
From time to time it is also diverted to LGG.
Are you talking about an additional run or a move from AMS to BRU ?

QR Cargo is now also flying from Johannesburg to Brussels.
They are connecting more and more cities with BRU and look also at January and the beginning of next year. More will follow

Re: Brucargo: cargo routes, news, Brucargo West, Diabolo.
The schedule of the QR cargo flights (STA 04h40) often allow a connection with the QR pax flight (STD 08h55). Not sure if this connecting schedule is intentional, but because of the ongoing delays of the cargo flights there is rarely an actual connection.Atlantis wrote:QR Cargo is now also flying from Johannesburg to Brussels.

Tomorrow, EK is also planning a cargo flight to BRU with a B777-200F. At this moment I don't see the departure flight.

QR Cargo requested slots for DOH - LAX - BRU flight.

I can reply to my own post. The EK cargo flight of today will depart again tomorrow. So it will be here on the ground a long day.Atlantis wrote:Tomorrow, EK is also planning a cargo flight to BRU with a B777-200F. At this moment I don't see the departure flight.
@ Kapitein,
That would be great news a a big boost for the cargo at BRU when QR Cargo can receive those slots, even it is one flight a week
Re: Brucargo: cargo routes, news, Brucargo West, Diabolo.
There is a long time rumour that QR wants to start pax service to AMS. However, that would mean it has to give up its cargo flights as the bilateral doesn't allow more than daily flights between Qatar and The Netherlands for a Qatari airline. Thus if (Iwhich is a big if as they have been requesting slots for pax flights for years) they go for pax flights it would mean they have to move the cargo flights (unless they expand the bilateral).liege-bierset wrote:Qatar Cargo are already operating similar flight from AMS since April 2011. As for ORD. ORD has been operated via AMS and LUX. AFAIK the LUX flights moved to LGG, the AMS flight didn't move but were reduced at one point to 2 weekly (previously it was 3 weekly). The remainder went via LUX.

Has KE already returned with an actual flight? I've seen them a few times on the cargo schedules (SAT PM), but these flights were repeatedly cancelled.pijaleu wrote:As from the beginning of November KE will return to BRU weekly during the weekend (probably on Saturday) with B74F.

Daily DOH-AMS with 788 as from June 16, 2015 seems to be confirmedLJ wrote: There is a long time rumour that QR wants to start pax service to AMS. So can we expect them to stop their cargo flights to AMS or did they get more flights in the bilateral agreement...?
