BRU 15/12/2014

Post by sn26567 »

Belgocontrol is on strike, hence there should be no flights.

However, I understand that there must be a minimum service for emergencies. Does anyone know how it works?

Also, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk will lead the Ukrainian delegation at an inaugural meeting of the Association Council between Ukraine and the European Union to be held in Brussels on Dec. 15. Will he (and the other participants in that meeting) land in BRU with the minimum service ATCOs, or in a military airfield like Beauvechain with military controllers which are, of course, not on strike?

IB3208 MAD-BRU will depart from Madrid 15 minutes later than the scheduled time in order to arrive in Brussels at 22:10, 10 minutes after the strike has concluded. Good luck!

Around 1630LT at EBBE:
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... 531&type=1

- Swedish Air Force Gulfstream G-IV-SP 102004/024
- Belgian Air Force F-16A FA-109 (reg. number not confirmed)
- Belgian Air Force NH-90 MTH RN-07

The Gulfstream and F16 were probably heading for Brussels for the EU Summit...

No, who said that? ;)

The F16 guided the Swedish AF Gulfsteam.

At this moment, there are many jets for the summit approachig EBBE and a few are already parked.

I guess they are guided by military controllers.

That's a good guess!
 + the F16 took off with the Gulfstream and they flew together.
