Flyblu is one of the newest airlines in the UK. Inaugural flight will be a flight from Birmingham to Orlando on June 3rd 2004.



Their motto is:

Sounds very promosing, however their website's fare qoutes doesn't work with Apple Safari (The most used browser on the mac platform)...

I hope they don't cram up their 763s with charter like Y-class seats...

I submitted the news article about this yesterday. The BHX spotters get lucky again, and I will miss it like I will miss all the other BHX treasures when I go at the end of this month.

Hmm, rather expensive. £ 584 for a return flight in june is not what I would call a big deal.

Yes folks, believe it or not, we are going to formally go on sale for tickets to Florida from Birmingham in our comfy seats on December 15th this year and we hope that you have not lost all faith in us due to the slightly embarrassing sagas that we have played out since we first broke cover at the 2004 Destinations travel fair in February at the NEC.

Things have ground along slowly, oh so slowly for us, but we are at a point now where you will be able to safely book your passage to Orlando or St Petersburg/Clearwater from Easter 2005 and Fort Lauderdale from July 2005. To ensure you feel doubly secure, we have arranged that you will have the added confidence of an ATOL protected deal too now as we know that confidence is an issue for our customers after a couple of false starts.
Our new website will go live by December 14th with an active booking front end and our call centre team will also be ready and able to take your calls for seats plus car hire and accommodation should you need these extras for your Florida vacation.

I know that we have tested the patience of the regions travellers to the nth degree this year but we are very happy to say that we are now almost ready to fix all disappointments during 2005 and will happily redeem any offer vouchers you received during the last six months of 2004 to try to make amends for the poor way you were treated by us during this year.

So be of cheer – the words and hopes of 2004 are coming to reality, albeit a few months later than first hoped, but you WILL be able to fly ‘comfy jet’ to your holiday paradise next summer after all.
