The Tu-144 is a supersonic Soviet transport aircraft. There were sixteen Tu-144′s built.
Tu-144D USSR-77115 is the last Tu-144 still flying, and right now we have chance to have a close look at it and to even get inside.

It was dubbed the "Concordski".
Re: The Last of TU-144 Planes
didn't know they actually still flew...I thought it was entirely abandoned after that demo crash
Re: The Last of TU-144 Planes
Same as me teddybAIR, I thought they were definitively withdrawn from service in 1999 after a collaboration with the NASA.
Do you have more info about the last flying Tu-144 AviationCV?

Re: The Last of TU-144 Planes
The programme was put on hold after a fatal crash during a demonstration flight in Le Bourget in 1973 (flying right after the Concorde). Nevertheless it entered into commercial service between 1977 and 1978, when a second accident took place. Afterwards it was used only for freight until 1983. It re-entered into service in cooperation with NASA from 1996 to 1999 when it was definitively retired.
