MUC was open for reservation for only 13 days (they opened reservation on July 11th and closed reservations on July 24th). Moreover, I think one can think of good arguments why they decided not to open reservations to MUC. ADD - ARN is a busy market and adding a stop both ways (instead of the usual tech stop nothbound only) wasn't prbably well received in the market. Thus this has nothing to do with BRU.

Which statistics? Unless you have inside information on the yield and associated costs it's very dificult to assess if it is money making (not to mention that it can depend on how you calculate costs). The cargo argument seems irrelevant as ET has dedicated cargo flights to Belgium. If you look at the reasoning for returning to BRU you'll see that they underestimated the costs of parking a 767 at CDG. Hence it's probably cheaper to fly the 767 to BRU, pick up some pax and pay the fee at BRU.
