De lijn buses - free ride in BRU perimeter

Post by SpottairBRU »

Hello dear Luchtzakkers,

just a small question, as my friend Google could not give a satisfactory answer (neither did "de Lijn" or BRU's website). On the webpage of my home airport, I can read that:
Brussels Airport Website wrote:The use of the De Lijn buses between bus stops located within the airport perimeter is free for all.
My question is: does somebody have a map of this perimeter? Looking at Google maps, I would guess that the Ringlaan (the street passing in front of the B.House) is part of that perimeter. Is that correct? If not, is there a list of the bus stops were I can take the bus for free to join the airport?

Thanks in advance for your replies!

Fabien.

I think the perimeter is the airport and all the buildings related to the airport (also Brucargo).

De Lijn is not providing this service free of charge. Who is paying them for that service?

As an example, people can travel free of charge within the limits of Hoeilaart, but the city of Hoeilaart is paying De Lijn for that. Same thing in Hasselt.
