What also sucks is going there, parking the car with some 10mins to spare and in the end hear that the A380 came early
g*damn
At least, I saw it leave BRU as it flew over my house...

Anything know yet about the press conference?

I don't think we should expect a lot.

Probably just some kind of promotion for the codeshare's between SN and LH, the only way for SN pax to travel with the A380.

I was at the press conference. Nothing else than the A380 ("proud to welcome the LH A380 in the capital of Europe, glad to have the partner of Brussels Airlines fly the first A380 to Brussels", etc.).

By the way (but this is old news), Brussels Airlines will codeshare the LH A380 flights to JNB. Thus it will be possible to book A380 flights with SN.

The pictures I have taken at the press conference, during the landing (from Twy A3), at stand 60 and inside the plane (including the cockpit) can be seen at

Illustrating once more that this is not an aviation website or forum really, only a place about spotting and air travel. If you really are into aviation, why not learn to understand aviator's communications? Failing all else, you could even consult http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terminal_A ... e_Forecast

BTW METAR/TAF decoders are plenty, and easy to find on the internet.

Sidenote: luckily the Korean 747 spooled his engines on time for the go-round. The forum would have lost a few members if he hadn't :-)

Aviation has many sides. And aviation fans are of many kinds. A spotter or an air traveller is most of the times interested in avitaion, but his knowledge of aviation may vary. We are open to all, professionals and amateurs alike, and therefore you should not be too harsh about the limited knowledge of some of our members and visitors.

This being said, we appreciate your contribution as a true and valued professional.

Maybe radio 2 can have another topic: living with these freaks .. ( my wife would love it  )
But:
Pity, I missed it, great pics guys !
Sad to see upstairs is all F/C class, like Titanic  !
Prefer AF A380 then , when I was searching CDG-LHR tickets I saw up and downstairs have a Y class !
( But was too late no A380 for me this year ! )
Let's hope on some diversions then .. but Tokyo/JNB is on BRU way to FRA I guess
