Jaf flight 103 delayed, today 27/04/2009

Post by Shanti »

What is the reason for the very long delay of JAF flight 103 to Puerto Plata today?
The departure was planned at 06 am but is now delayed till 10 pm (16 hours delay,
poor passengers and crew), is it the famous OO-TUC boeing 767? Thanks for the
information.

Tuesday's outgoing 207 to Cancun/Varadero is delayed only from 08h00 till 10h30, so trust another 767 (probably from Jetairfly's sister company Arkefly NL) will do that one.

I believe CS-TLO has done the flight. (the euroAtlantic 763 that flew a couple of days for SN not so long ago)

The flight was eventually operated by OO-TUC. Tec4Jets managed to get the bird flying again. JAF103 left at 01.20 local time.

CS-TLO arrived ferry from LIS around 23.00 (if I'm not mistaking) and returned ferry at 03.00 local time to LIS as JAF104P.

Free but still valuable addition to this forum as a sign of encouragement to JAF management: use the upcoming cancellation of all flights to Mexico to either
a) fix that plane once and for all
b) discretely get a new one, the desert is full of them

Dear Jan,

As a regular reader of this forum, I can tell U I read a LOT of other replies
that have nothing to do with the topic!!!
So sorry that I wanted to make a funny remark on this ( regulary returning topic-see history)!
I already gave my real opinion ( and expiercences) on this topic last times.
Remember I flown OO-TUC 4x,1x with big delay and I'm not scared of OO-TUC,feel it's pity
that JAF still HAS to operate it until end of lease contract (this summer?), I like JAF,
DON'T blame the management ( they really do a good job and are a big THUMB UP for giving
the Belgians their special holiday flights with a great fleet !! ).
I don't want to be a manager ( but they may always ask me !),
I just wanted to make a funny remark after a hard days work! ( as an electrician )
So next time, don't be so harsh and try to see the humour of it in the topic!!!

Ciao and goodnight! 8-)

Oh, come on. YOU are making things worse here  The idea and added value of the forum is to exchange news, information AND to have some fun 8-)

And anybody who expected another long delay of OO-TUC would NOT provoke sarcastic posts has to live in a different world than I do; be relaxed, that is life

And actually, do think for just a few seconds of people, families, who want to go on their holidays, who probably got up very early, drove to the airport and than have to spent the whole day at the airport, and the evening and than after some 20 hours or so  at the airport finally do leave for a long-haul flight - THEY will be pleased :?

Well, I saw nothing funny there, only one more repetition of a chorus far too well-known. I must be getting old, I suppose... CX, thank you for not taking offense!

Beginning of 2010 it'll be gone with the wind :)

@Jan: as you are a future airline pilot (correct me if i'm wrong), I suggest you to calm down, with this attitude you'll have some problems in life getting to your favorite seat. Take this as advice please.

Thanks for your good intentions. You are slightly mistaken: for lack of budget I only took up flying lessons at the age of 53, I can't hope to be an airline pilot in this life. The ultralight test is for this summer, and if health AND budget keep up then I can begin considering a PPL and PERHAPS an IR but then under FAA Regulations.

As for the calming down: there was neither anger nor heat in my criticism, it was meant positively. But yes, it's a disadvantage of the "forum" medium that messages can be read differerently by different people. Honestly, I tried my best to keep this forum at its best possible level. Everything under control, almost straight and level! Yet, allow me to prefer facts and information over jokes and brawls. I do believe the forum authorities are of the same mind, and I was trying to keep in line with their ideas, thinking it must be tiresome for them to always repeat the same message.
