SN247/1247 on 07 Nov 2008 : BRU-BRU-Abidjan ?

Post by LX-LGX »

Seems the A330 had to return to Brussels after departure. At least, that's what I think when I look at BRU's flight info:

12h00 ETD SN247 BRU-ABJ (A330)
12h03 departed from BRU
13h47 arrival in BRU
18h00 ETD SN1247 BRU-ABJ (A330) (new flight number)

(if fuel had to be dumped : the fishermen from the North Sea don't want it anymore, they suggest to dump it above some nimbies in Noordrand or Kraainem next time)

Will the flight now still leave from the T-Gates and therefore bloc one third of the A-Pier for one delayed flight  Or have they returned to the B-Pier with the plane ?

Like most people on the ground, I don't have any technical knowledge about fuel dumping (I didn't get any further then a theorical PPL 25 years ago). And when I was in the rear cabin up high, I've never experienced fuel dumping - hence my question: if...

SN247 has finally left BRU. The pilot told the PAX there was a sensor problem. Apparently they had to place jacks under the aircraft, so your guess is as good as mine, sensor problem with the bogey, wheels, brakes...

The BruAir A330's don't have a fueldump-system. Not sure if there are much 330's around with such a system ...

You only have fuel dump on A330 when they have a center fuel tank. WItch the 330's of sn don't have.

Now they had a landing gear disagree in flight. This was due to an broken sensor @ the left main landing gear.
The plane didn't dump fuel or flew circles but made a heavy landing. (used litterally the whole lengt of the strip, trust reverser where still active infront of hangar 41, witch says enough imo)
We only put the plane on jacks for the tests that need to be done after the sensor replacement

If i can rember correct the plane left the hangar (41) @ around 19h30.
