Jet Airways: DEL-BRU-JFK is now official !

Post by Flying-Belgian »

Hi.

9W's schedules for DEL-BRU-JFK are now loaded in GDS/CRS.
As from oct 28th, with a daily B777-300ER.
It's Jet's 3rd combination with BRU as a scissor hub.
Schedules are pretty much the same as for BOM/EWR (25 minutes of difference).

It'll be quite crowded in BRU !!
Now let's wait for ORD/California and some routes to the wealthy Southern India.

Thanks excellent information ...and sorry my confusion since I had the impression they were only flying to EWR.
I am looking forward for the BRU-LAX to find out connection abilities on UA to SBA and SNA

By the way, does anyone know the price of Round the world ticket in F, originating in BOM/india on 9W and ?? with a routing BOM-BRU-LAX-SYD-BOM

Sorry, my mistake. I didn't type well.

It's well DEL-BRU-JFK.

So end october we will have:

BOM-BRU-EWR - 77W and vv.
DEL-BRU-YYZ - 332 and vv.
DEL-BRU-JFK - 77W and vv.

The Delhi schedules are quite intriguing. Both planes (777 and 330) fly at exactly the same time in both directions. That looks like a duplication. Why did 9W select Delhi again and not a third Indian destination? Wasn't BRU intended to become a hub where passengers vould change from any Indian destination to any North American destination and vice versa?

More volume from Delhi if you ask me

I think that Delhi and Mumbai will be the major catch areas for flights to all North American destinations via BRU, hence it may not be far fetched to imagine one of the cities having two flights.

Surely, one should expect that one day or another you could see larger aircraft (A380?) thru BRU, or much more likely nonstop service DEL-NYC if traffic volumes support it. I still see them using BRU to scissor to new destinations in India and North America as traffic and patterns builds up.

I'm sure that either ATQ, MAA, AMD or BLR will be the next selected Indian destinations.

At the moment 9W is also very busy with 5th freedom rights for their India-PVG-SFO flight. This will probably be routed via a Southern province city (BLR/MAA ??).

Kingfisher is also applying for BOM-SFO direct with A345 but that's another story.

Busy skies...

Very strange indeed ...

I would have expected that they first try to open a maximum of other destinations in India and the US, and then add New-York JFK as last destination.

I read somewhere, but don't know where anymore, that Bangalore authorities were not replying with a lot of enthousiasm ... maybe this is why they do not start from there (yet)? :?

Regards,
Danny

Yes, in the transit hall. And I am sure that both their F and C lounges will have very decent catering - brought from India I hope !
