Maybe that the Air Luxor comes in at EBBR for maintenace.

If it's the case I would like to know if someone is able to tell me when rare birds like that are coming in at EBBR so that I can spot them.

About the Elctra 757 I thing this one came in for charter operations this summer, but I'm not sure.

greetings

Thie following was posted on belspot yesterday which may explain why SX-BVN is in BRU

"noted this morning @ Brucargo: SX-BVN B757-2G5 Air
Scotland.

Text from Fred Seggie on A.Net while SX-BVN at
Glasgow:
This Air Scotland 757 was impounded by the BAA on
Friday April 25th and the yellow de-icing truck behind
it has been placed there to block it reversing out
from Stand. Electra Airlines were operating the
flights for Air Scotland but the Airline sacked them
so both 757's are impounded at the moment with landing
fees still outstanding. Air Scotland flights are
currently being operated by Air Holland 757's."

The aircraft was towed from Brucargo around 14.00 7/5 across to the main Sabena hangar ramp.

Indian 737's

Post by meerkat »

Can anyone tell me exactly where the 2 Indian 737's are parked?

Also does anyone know the identity of a red tailed 737 parked near the old Schengan ramp 7/5 in the morning? Plus the identity of an all blue gas balloon flying over the Brussels area?

All help gratefully received.

Regarding knowing what will arrive at BRU - someone always seems to know but the information does not always get distributed to everyone - perhaps the forums here are a good place to get things known?

meerkat,

both 735 were parked in front of H40, one facing the hangar itself, the other facing rwy 25l/07r (at least around 20h00lt)
What do you mean by schengan ramp? Is it the sattelite, then you probably mean SCHENGEN , which has to do with passport facilities for all members. These flights can be considered as domestic, as there is no more border controls inside this zone.

about the blue gas balloon. Are you sure it was flying ?? The reason I ask is that Belgacom has a blue balloon going up and down only somewere downtown bru to promote their new livery/logo.

As for the information on special birds. I could tell you but then I would have to kill you (just kidding  )

Sorry about the spelling - also took me ages to spell Schiphol!!!

I did mean the apron/ramp by the old satellite terminal as I don't know its real designator.

As to the balloon it could have been the Belgacom one - is it quite large as I was viewing it from near the water tower at 25L - quite a long way to Belgacom's building in town.

VT-SIX was outside today at 9.30 local with taped registration but I only had a quick pass by.

It is that balloon, which is tied on a rope and goes up & down near the "Noordstation".
It is the largest gas balloon in the world, and for 10 Euro you can go for 10 minutes "in the air" with magnificent view on Brussels City. It will be there all summer long.

another rare one?

Post by Lyulka »

Sunday 11/05/03, 11.12h there was a strange 737 on the ILS for runway 25L. It had a dark tail and belly. It looked like something was drawn on the rudder. I was just looking to it from Louvain, so I couldn't see it very clearly. Does any one know what the operator of this aircraft was?

Also seen from my home: a BA 767 on the ILS for runwway 25L the same day at 21.30h. Is it usual that BA uses this type of aircraft on a sunday evening? I've allready seen it some times before, but I was wondering whether it is operated on a regular basis.

BA404, arriving daily at 21:45, is a B767.

BA is flying twice daily a 767-300 to Brussels from LHR

fligth 388 arrives at 9:15
fligth 404 arrives at 21:45

flight 389 leaves at 7:40
flight 391 leaves at 10:45

The flights are operated until 25/10 when timetables change again.

The blue Belgacom balloon is registered F-GXLS

lyulka

did a brief search and this is what came up

TK1937-1054-TCJFO
TV303-1058-OOVEF
LY331-1112-4XEKI
TV803-1136-OOLTU
TV873-1144-OOVEN

All these times are local and are the landing times.
Looks only LY matches the request as all the others can be
recognized very easy.
It might also be some vip flight. I found nothing in the database.
