I'm surprised the 734 couldn't make it non-stop to BRU, must be quite costly and inconvenient to have to make a refuelling stop enroute (but more fun for aviation enthusiasts of course)

nice report!

With full payload the return from Egypt could be limiting (on the return you normally have a headwind, and depending on the strenght of the jetstream the flight time could go over 5hrs!). A fuelstop can (if everything well prepared) take about 30mins, and if you need the capacity of the -800 on other routes, there's not really an option.

a full 737-400 just can't do it non-stop, unless you have some good upper winds.

That would have been very nice but no, just have flown with him twice!

Thanks all for the compliments. I shot the pictures with a Canon Digital Ixus 55...

A seat in row 22 is very good on the OO-TUC. I'm 1.89m tall and I could fully stretch my legs.

Maybe an idea to adjust the timetable if the 737-400 is not able to make the way non-stop from HRG to BRU?

Most of the people didn't enjoy the extra flight time, but I did on one hand.
On the other hand the seat pitch wasn't very relaxed for me...

It was a pity that there weren’t enough pillows on-board.

If we should takes pillows on board for 168 pax + infants, pax won't have any room left to put their bags in overhead bins...

Very nice report and great pictures too.
However, I noticed there are 2 pictures which involve crew members. I don't know whether these people mind being on the internet, but I would be careful with that, without having asked their permission.
I notified my collegues and advised them to contact you in case they don't want to have their picture on Luchtzak.
I certainly don't want to spoil your trip report, but I know I wouldn't like to stumble upon pictures of myself, taken by a passenger... So, just to be sure...

Yesterday I flew with the male crew of your picture. He asked me to let you know that he doesn't mind to have pictures of him here at Luchtzak.
So, Denmen, sorry to have bothered you about all this, but I always think it's better to be safe than sorry (after all, that's the spirit in aviation, isn't it)

No problem, thanks for asking anyway!
Great report!
Nice to see some pictures from the inside of some JAf aircraft
Thanks, I think the seats are good looking compared to other airlines I flew...
