The last few weeks Lufthansa is regulary upgrading the morning flight from Frankfurt towards Brussels and back from A320-series to an A300.
My question about that is: the upgrade is mostly on a saturday or a holiday. Why's that? I thought these flights are mostly used by business passengers. Anyone an idea?

Very simple: connecting passengers.
If LH flights out of BRU are working well it's because of the weak long-haul network out of BRU. So connecting passengers are taking an onward flights (mostly long-haul) with LH (and Star Alliance) to destinations around to globe.
In this case during a holiday more people are travelling to popular touristy destinations such as Thailand, South Africa, the USA but not directly from BRU.
