Looks like this runway has a history of overruns, runway is almost complete covered by burned rubber tire marks. Probably this bird will not fly again, but could be a nice donor for the A300 in Baghdad.

YA-BAB, YA-BAC, YA-BAD....

Post by SN30952 »

There was a time Ariana had beautiful aircraft: I remember a proud DC10 of them in Istanbul end of the 7ties.
That aircraft flew later for BA, if I got that right. I think I saw it in JFK in the late 8ties? As one of their 'Forests'.

btw now Ariana has only 2 of the 3 Airbus A300B4-203 donated by Indian Gvmt: YA-BAB & YA-BAC

Sad News for this a/c.

They have decided to scrap the a/c and already started cutting it into pieces (for pictures):

3 A300's
4 B727's
2 B757's
1 Antonov 24
With the crash and loss of this craft, they are now down to 2 A300's.
They currently have 4 B737-700's on order to be delivered in 2009.
