Heared that DHL ordered 6 B767ER. Will be used for flights to N-America. Any idea who will operate them? EAT, DHL UK, ABX?
To bad we will not see them in Brussels because they will be delivered from 2009 only.

Goodafternoon,
Dre, Billbone,
How accurate is your information because this is a mighty blow in the face of EAT-crews.
Who will be the owner of the 767's ? DHL Airstar (ex-Airborne) ?
What will happen with the Belgian registered fleet of EAT ?

What are the chances of these B767s replacing the B752 Fleet gradually with some being subleased to India.

We indeed got an internal information mail that DHL is going to create a new German company, initially in coöperation with Lufthansa. The new company will operate B767 and B747. They plan to start operations earliest 2009.
EAT is receiving very shortly their 15the A300. I saw it yesterday in Abu Dhabi when we brought in OO-DLD for heavy maintenance.

Interview with CEO John Mullen :
link here
Confirming the 6 B767 would be used for Transatlabtic flights between Europe and the VS in co-ops with Lufthansa .
Only the " low " useable payload of the B767-300F compaired to a MD-11 is a bit scratching my head.
