AirTran will add 1,100 new jobs in WI, if merger is approved

I have been watching the AirTran-Midwest debate on A.net and people's opinions on the merger seem to be varied. What do you all think?

Obviously, I don't want the merger to go through because we would lose our hometown airline. Midwest's service is top-notch and AirTran's just isn't. It would be a shame if we lost this great carrier.

Im afraid it has a chance of happening. Neither airline is too large to raise objections from the government. If AirTran comes up with the right offer, they will make the deal happen and the nice service Midwest offers will quickly disappear in favor of the typical junk service that has unfortunately become the norm with most of the US domestic carriers.
