Hello,
I dont know if this is the place, but I thought that it would be interesting to share this with other 'aviation lovers'
On this site you can find a step-by-step (or day-by-day) journal of a c-check on a Avro RJ/BAe146, done by D.A.T. (SN Brussels Airlines) with some nice pictures...

What happens to OO-DJV when leaving QAPS?
Greetings Patatje,
Nice job you made here.
It came to my mind when looking at your pictures that OO-DJV (your example) is just being resprayed at QAPS at the moment.
Can somebody tell me which checks are made to the planes when leaving the painting facility as we see them stuffing all air intakes, scrubbing the metal, playing with the trims, etc, .. wasting part your efforts, not?

hello,
the avro doesn't need any maintenance after a repainting.
because all the (old) paint has been removed, the aircraft doesn't need te be weighted again.
flight controls (ailerons, elevator) are not painted so a test flight or balancing of the controls is not needed.
the only thing that has to be done is a very detailed inspection...
for example that all masking tapes and plastics are removed, that no static holes are filled with paint, that (heated) instruments are clear of paint, that all areas are covered...
hope this anwer is good for you, but you can ask this in our forum, more aviatio mechanics read it over there...
