As said in the previous message, Gandalf is not coming with its Do328 jets anymore.
Chris draws my attention to what I believe is a unique case in aviation history: is there another plane, besides the Do328, that is configured with either turbo-prop or jet engines?
one of the types which received both a jet and a kind of prop engine: the md-80, or one of its deriviatives. It was also tested whith engines with some kind of propellers. It was very fuel efficient, but was far to noisy for operating!

I did not know about the MD-80. I guess it never went further than the prototype, which I would like to see in picture.
It remains that the Do328 is the only commercial plane that can be seen with either propellers or jet engines.

Quite true André, it was c/n 48000 with regi N980DC the prototype of the MD-80 series an MD-81 which was converted for a while between 1988-1991 to perform some unducted fan (UDF) tests. The a/c was b/u in 1994.
