I have no experience with Germanwings.

But take a look here : http://www.airlinequality.com/Forum/germanwings.htm

Last year my girlfriend and I were at Köln Bonn Airport,
home base of Germanwings. Nice fleet from 319's and
A320's. Most of the plane have leather seats.

Their inflight service calls Skybistro here you have
Die Speisenkarte
Best regards,

Airbuske

Many times CGN-ZAG and return during 2004 (excellent experience)
they were consequently cheaper in that time than now!!!!

(Example: SNBA: BRU-DBV /return: 206 EUR, Germanwings CGN-DBV /return 240EUR !!!!!!!!!!!!)

@Chris - no recent experience.

And, what I can read under airliners.de, times are changing.

By the way, flown them, a copuple of times, back in 2002, and I found them rather good, not to say perfect for an LCC.

Meanwhile, as an-148 explained, and to keep it short, they are simple too expensive, most times LH is cheaper, if you compare the prices at all (end-price including all, taxes and service fee, and ....)

Rgds,
Jumbolino.

Thanks for all your inputs guys and girls ;).

Let's say for me they are cheaper ;) so money is no problem.

Looking at the site and from experiences I conclude that the service is quite good for a LCC.

Yes, service was good, F/A smiling and helpful.
Drinks and sandwiches offered to a "correct" price, a.s.o. (all in all, the client has the same feeling as in a "normal" company, apart from beiing charged for drinks/food) clean A319/320, leather seats, enough pitch for <2h flights.
