For the moment there are 3 Airlines operating BCN-VCE

IBERIA 2 daily flights
ALPI EAGLES SPA 1 daily flight
MYAIR 5 weekly flights

From March WINDJET 2 weekly flights
From April VUELING daily flights
Surely the market can't support that many weekly flights. With only two weekly, flights Windjet look particularly vulnerable

As said before, great news!!

Good to here that they can compete with Iberia!

Hopefully they don't rush themselves, into investing money!

Why?
I think AENA still have to confirm some routes.
If you check AMS - VLC on the Vueling site you
can see that it is still not possible to book a flight
for April. Now it is important for Vueling that the
passangers can book flights for the month April.
Otherwise the won't have a lot passengers during
April. :?

Vueling is the best Spanish airline

Vueling was found to be one of the most valued airline companies among European consumers. A recent survey by European consumer organisations in France, Belgium, Holland, Italy, and Portugal proves it.
Among a total of 8,600 surveys, Vueling ranked as the best Spanish airline with a 7.16 rating. Also, out of the 110 airlines analysed, Vueling came in at 23.

People taking the survey rated: reliability, punctuality, customer service, and the relationship between quality and price. Vueling received this recognition because of the hard work and motivation of all our employees, along with the trust of our passengers.

Thank you very much and congratulations to everyone!

For the moment they are flying to BRU from MAD on day 1 , 3 and 5.
The plane arrives at BRU at 9:30 and leaves BRU at 13:35.
I don't know why , but its also long , no ?

No flights in between to either Barcelona or Valencia? I'm not an expert but that is often the case no?
This is not a possibility for Granada since there is only one destination! (i.e. Barcelona)

BTW: thanks for all the updates I really appreciate the feeds you are giving us!

Some months ago we had

1 => BCN - BRU -VLC - BRU -BCN
2= > MAD - BRU - BCN - BRU - MAD

but they reduced their frequency to BCN and MAD

so now we have

1 => BCN - BRU -VLC - BRU - BCN daily
2=> BRU - MAD - BRU on day 1 , 3 and 5.

All very well for Vueling, but does anyone on here know why they are already cutting back on flights to BRU? They seem to be one of these airlines that start up new routes and closing them soon after (BRU-MAD lasted barely half a year). Should't they let these routes some time to grow?

ps are they doing any marketing of their flights in Belgium?

Hi ,

Vueling has not stopped their flights to and from MAD.
They only reduced their flights from daily flight to 3 times/week.
I think due a lack of aircrafts. It is possible that they will soon
increase their flights because since the start of 2006 they received
2 brand new airplanes and 7 are on order.

The Vueling flights to Valencia are doing quiet good.
The flights to BCN and MAD , I don't know.

About marketing ? Amost no marketing here in Belgium.
Only a time ago some advertising at the airport.
As you can see here :

Image

When I was in Barcelona and Madrid I saw a lot of advertising
at the airport , on busses , metro , paper ...

But it seems that more and more people in Belgium knows who Vueling is.

We will see !

¡ Buen Vueling ! :wink:

From the information I have, the MAD route will end on 31/05. Remember they also had a third flight to BCN on some days this winter (apart from the 2 daily flights to BCN). Big cut in capacity!

Indeed a big decrease !

I'm not sure they will stop the MAD route.
For the moment they are looking to open a third base BUT not in Spain!
It would be a European capital were Vueling has some flights.
Can be Rome , Paris CDG , Amsterdam but also Brussels.

Wait and see :wink:

Received today confirmation that they won't stop the MAD - BRU route.
They are still waiting on the confirmation of AENA and not only for MAD - BRU.

Some rumours : it is possible that they will start service between ALC & BRU or/and AGP - BRU.
This between now and 1 year.

For the moment not enough planes. For the moment they have 12 planes and they will receive 4 planes more between now and december. Next year they will receive 9 planes.
Best regards,

Airbuske
